Ever since I was young and watched Food Network, I loved seeing elite chefs using sous vide cooking appliances to make meat and fish perfectly tender. Nomiku, a San Francisco based company let me try out their Sous Vide Classic Nomiku. It's an immersion circulator that controls water temperature and circulates water in your own pots. Such a clever idea to allow using sous-vide in your own stock pots instead of having to have a traditional sous vide appliance that could take up huge amounts of kitchen counter space.

Mother's Day is just around the corner (Sunday, May 10th) and I'm more of the practical gift giver type. I like to give gifts that people can use and will make their lives easier. A happy MOM = a happy me. So here are my Top 5 Kitchen Gift recommendations for MOM, most under $100 and one free. : )
For the Matcha Latte ♥ (& Starbucks) Lover
1. Nespresso Aeroccino Plus Milk Frother ($77.81 on Amazon)
Great for making fast and foamy Matcha Lattes. I have this same amazing frother and make my lattes by first adding cold milk (soy or regular dairy), then add 1-2 scoops of matcha powder on top. With the press of a button, the Aeroccino froths together the milk and matcha to make a nice cup of HOT or COLD Matcha Latte. Then I pour into a cup and add my choice of sweetener + a tiny bit of hot water to lighten up the drink. I recommend gifting this with a small can or bag of Premium Organic Ceremonial Grade Matcha powder so MOM can get started making lattes right away. |
