  • Taiwanese Thick Toast with Sweet Custard

Taiwanese Thick Toast with Sweet Custard is a snack that you'll oftentimes find in Taiwan's bubble tea cafes. Super thick slices of white bread are covered in a sweet custard spread then toasted to perfection.  Sometimes you'll also find Thick Toast with peanut butter too!

This recipe will make your kitchen smell like an Asian bakery. The custard is very tasty and it's almost like a half dessert and half snack. I highly recommend paring this with some Milk Tea, either with our without the boba.  : )

Tip:  Try your best to find Thick Toast slices at your local Asian supermarket or bakery.  If they only have thin slices, ask the bakery if they'll custom cut you a fresh loaf.  (Most bakeries are happy to do this for you with advance notice)
