  • Seven Flavor Beef with Pine Nuts (Asian Fusion style dish)

Seven Flavor Beef is a famous dish served at Seattle's Wild Ginger Restaurant.  It has multiple flavors that make it amazingly flavorful.  There's the distinct flavors of lemongrass, five spice powder, ginger and even a bit of chili flakes for an extra kick.

This recipe is my spin on Wild Ginger's version of Seven Flavor Beef using Pine Nuts (+ some other modifications) to give it an exotic nutty flavor.  I also like to serve this with extra bean sprouts that are just barely cooked to give the dish a nice contrasting crunch.

Tip:  Marinate the beef overnight in advance for extra flavor.  You can even make a large batch of the marinated meat, then freeze it to use weeks later (just defrost in the fridge before cooking).

Ingredients:

Serves 2 people
  • 1/2 lb. beef flank/skirt steak

  • 1 Tbsp. lemongrass, minced
