  • Green Tea (Matcha) Latte Recipe | with Roasted Soybean Powder

I love Green Tea Lattes. One of my first times visiting Roppongi in Tokyo, I walked into a speciality Green Tea store called Koots Green Tea.  They served the best green tea lattes, everything from a kuromitsu latte (black honey/sugar latte) to a plain matcha latte.

Unfortunately, Koots Green Tea has since closed down, but when I find myself missing their latte drinks, I will make my version of their Matcha Latte which has roasted soybean powder giving it a bit of a nutty flavor.

Tip:  While it's great to have a milk frother, it's okay if you don't have one.  I'll show you how to make this latte with just a simple whisk.  (makes for a good pre-latte arm workout) ; )

Ingredients:

  • 1 tsp. matcha powder
  • 1 - 1 1/2 Tbsp. cane sugar (to taste)
  • 1/2 tsp. roasted soy bean powder (kinako)

Ready in Total Time:  5 min.

Prep Time =  5 min.
Cook Time =  (none yay!)
