Asian Sea Bass (Grilled) with a Sweet Soy Ginger Sauce
When I was young, my Grandma used to steam Sea Bass for me all the time, since it was pretty much the only fish I would like eating as a child (all the other fish she cooked had too many bones!).
Fast forward to me all grown up . . . my first time eating at a popular restaurant in San Francisco called The House, I ordered their Grilled Asian Sea Bass. It came with this sweet soy sauce that was slightly spicy and had hints of ginger. Served with a side of noodles, it was delicious. Now, Sea Bass is my all time favorite of all cooked fish. It's buttery tasting, flaky and since it's a fattier fish, it's also hard to overcook. This is my version of their Grilled Sea Bass which I like to serve with a side of simple Asian vegetables and wasabi mashed potatoes. (Yes, you read that correctly. Wasabi mashed potatoes. Yum!)
